The feeling from buying an official LEGO set and building it is warm, familiar, reassuring. If I had to choose, I'd say go for two 31120 sets. (I'd like to save my LEGO budget for other sets :) 😀 Before I spend money buying instructions Just wondering how well this beautiful looking design will work for my needs. I really appreciate that this MOC design seems to have the same general look and playability of the offical main build with a bit extra height and presence with the taller corner towers. Frankly the tall skinny lonely tower build just accentuates the height disparity.

Even when I bought a 2nd full castle 31120 set to build official tower (AKA 'B version' ) the towr looks okay, but the gate house from the offical main build just looks woefully short next to the treehouse and the Blacksmith build. (Since im not *at all* an engineer- just an AFOL weekend warrior.) I was hoping to display the original main build of 31120 with the recent 'ideas' Blacksmith & large Treehouse sets. Now I think I need some help with a modification beyond my engineering capablities. Can anyone tell me if this MOC measures up if displayed with Blacksmith & treehouse? I've never used a MOC only modified sets to my own whims and design ideas. This MOC is a Modification of the following: This is an instructions update, not a model design change. No, there are not enough pieces left over to build the dragon without making some changes. Does this use the spare parts included with 31120? Yes, I've used the following that were included as spares: #24246 Green, #54200 Light Bluish Gray, #4073 Bright Pink/Reddish Brown/White. There are only a few grey bricks leftover. It's mostly modified pieces like hinges and clips.

The original dimension are: 10.5” (26 cm) high, 12” (31 cm) wide, 11” (28 cm) deep This design is: 17” (43cm) high, 14” (35.5 cm) wide, 13.5” (34 cm) deep How many parts are left over? There are approximately 250 pieces remaining. Are all play features intact? Yes, except the bottom level doors of the tower – these do not open like the original alt build. Does this set require any extra pieces? Nope, this set requires two copies of 31120 and nothing else.
